Interfraternity Council at the University of Central Florida |
|

Proud to be one of the most encompassing and diverse organizations on campus representing over 1300 fraternity men and 15 fraternities. These members are held to a higher standard as we work together to build a better community and better men. At such a young university, the Interfraternity Council is proud to lead the way by creating new traditions, instilling spirit, and continually setting the standard for excellence here at UCF. |

Two Fraternities Invited to Colonize |
|
On behalf of the Interfraternity Council at the University of Central Florida (UCF), it is with great excitement that we announce the expansion of our council. The expansion process utilized to review organizations was extensive. After a tough decision, the organizations chosen to receive an invitation into the Interfraternity Council at UCF are Delta Lambda Phi National Social Fraternity and Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity.
Starting in Fall of 2010, the Interfraternity Council will welcome Delta Lambda Phi National Social Fraternity to start their colonization process. As per their website, Delta Lambda Phi “offer[s] gay, bisexual, and progressive men across the nation the opportunity to grow in the true spirit of brotherhood -- one that embraces diversity and respects the value of all.” The Interfraternity Council at UCF is proud to be one of the most inclusive organizations on campus and we look forward to the value Delta Lambda Phi will add. As one of the nation’s fastest growing fraternities and with vast faculty support, Delta Lambda Phi will be offered a solid foundation to grow at the University of Central Florida in the Interfraternity Council.
Starting in Spring of 2011, the Interfraternity Council will invite the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity to start their colonization process. With strong local alumni support, Delta Sigma Phi will mirror the values of the Interfraternity Council at UCF by creating a brotherhood to “Better Men. Better Lives.” We believe their brotherhood will extend the opportunity of leadership and development to men who may otherwise be apathetic to fraternity life.
It is of my greatest honor to extend the fraternal experience to these two chapters. We expect both chapters to fully embrace and advance the UCF Creed and the values of Interfraternity Council at the University of Central Florida and believe both will do so.
I would like to personally thank all those who helped with the expansion process. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at the contact information below or the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life at (407)823-2072 or

Dr. Ehasz visits IFC |
|

On March 23rd at the ADPi house the Interfraternity Council was pleased to have hosted a very special guest, Dr. Ehasz. Dr. Maribeth Ehasz, Vice President of Student Development and Enrollment Services, was kind enough to speak to the members of the Interfraternity Council and guests about a multitude of topics. She stressed the importance of working together as a Greek Community and being champions of positive change here at the University of Central Florida. She also fielded questions including those about Greek Park 2 and the student conduct process. IFC thanks Dr. Ehasz for taking time out of her busy schedule to address our concerns. |
